Our students have a great need to practice the Danish language in an authentic forum. Therefore, in order to best solve this, we seek volunteers who want to come during the teaching period. So if you have experience with learning from you, you have knowledge of classroom structure and if you have control of your current rs then it is perhaps you we are missing as volunteer for the teaching.

As a volunteer in the teaching you will be affiliated with a teacher or team that you follow through an agreed period. The teacher will familiarize you with your tasks and you will always refer to this.

There is teaching at the language school from Monday to Friday during the period 8.10 - 15.20, but only 13.30 on Fridays. In addition, there are evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am. 17.30 - 20.05. As a volunteer in the teaching, we expect you to participate in the team once a week between 1.5 to 3 hours.

Lærdansk is part of Danish refugee assistance and our values are based on the following five principles; Humanity, Respect, Independence and Neutrality, Inclusion and Honesty and Transparency.

Before you are introduced to the teacher and can begin your work as a volunteer in the teaching, you get a brief intro to Lærdansk and the school structure, to the Danish Refugee Council's voluntary agreement, possible work tasks, etc.

As mentioned, it is the individual teacher who decides which tasks and students you must work with, most often there is a need for an interlocutor, a pen pal or a reading companion.
