As a volunteer in the Webgroup, you help develop and maintain our website www.hovedstaden.drk.dk . The website is built in WordPress, so it is important that you have experience with that system.

In the Webgroup you become part of a small and energetic team, and the core of the work consists of alternating with the other members of the group for one week at a time, checking a common email and workspace in Podio, performing changes and optimizations in WordPress and assisting. The communication group with know-how regarding design and technical solutions for the site.

We would especially like to hear from you if you have:

  • Routine in working with WordPress,
  • A good knowledge of maintenance and development of WordPress installations
  • Preferably competences in the development of designs and templates - ie. css and php
  • Experience working with SEO

The group consists of members with different competences that complement each other. The work varies in both scope and complexity, but expect a couple of hours of time per week for the weeks that are vague. In addition, there is ample opportunity to characterize the site through dialogue with other volunteers and staff in the Red Cross Capital.

As the work is done from home, an independent approach to the tasks is a prerequisite, but there will be support from the group's team leader and other members. If you are a specialized WordPress developer and can dedicate time to specific tasks, we would love to hear from you too.

The web group is part of the Communication Group in the Red Cross Capital, which works widely with communication.
