The task is to convey the many stories that characterize our department. The good stories come from our many activities, including when we hand out Christmas help, send 35 children to holiday camps and 20 elderly to camp camps, support young women in Malawi or the friendship programs in developing countries.

The Red Cross is always present and steps to where help is needed. That is the core vision of the Red Cross.

In Denmark, we have 204 Red Cross departments and 34,000 volunteers working for Denmark's vulnerable. There is always a Red Cross volunteer close to all Danes, so help is always around the corner.

Most Danes know the Red Cross for their work abroad and our first aid activities in Denmark. But the extent of the Red Cross's relief work in Denmark is less known.

We would like to increase our awareness of our broad national efforts for vulnerable Danes so that many more will gain insight into our work in the local community. The task is to inform about the work so that we can help even more Danes and recruit even more who can help.

And we need you to do that! You have the courage to work with communication in the Red Cross Ringsted department.

Formally, you become a volunteer activity manager for communications in the department. You do not need to be educated in communication or journalism to become an activity manager for communication, but have the desire and interest in social media, press work, graphics, website and similar communication work.

The Red Cross Ringsted and the country office's communications department help to get ready for the task to the extent you need it.

You get out of it:

  • You help the Red Cross in helping people in the community.
  • You become the co-ordinator of the department's communication and gain experience in communication in a broad sense.
  • You will have the opportunity to expand your communication skills and communication skills.
  • You expand your network and meet other volunteer and regular Red Cross staff.
  • You gain insight into the work of the Red Cross Denmark and gain experience from the world's largest humanitarian aid organization.

We cannot offer you wages - in return, we offer good experiences, a professional community and a strong feedback culture, so you can develop as a communicator.
