Save the Child Aabenraa runs two family adventure clubs that ensure good and rewarding experiences for vulnerable children in the local area with their parents in a fun, safe and inclusive community.

These are children who sit too much at home, do not join the community, do not participate in leisure activities, etc., because the family is socially or financially affected. Through the Family Experience Club, we make a difference for some of these kids. It's a great project that spreads a lot of joy!

The experiences can be anything from a trip to amusement, a cultural experience to a picnic with food over bonfires. We plan approx. 8-10 trips a year - typically 3-4 hours a Saturday or Sunday, and we go to summer camp every year for several days with the club's other volunteers.

As a volunteer club leader, you will join a management team with our other club leader who runs the experience club in Bylderup / Tinglev.

Your job is to:

  • ensure a fun, safe and inclusive community
  • put together a good annual plan with a nice palette of experiences and trips that promote the good community
