IMCC Global is looking for students to volunteer to help improve the health of the people in some of the world's most vulnerable countries. We are currently working on two long-term projects in Ethiopia and Kenya. We are looking for enterprising volunteers for both the Ethiopia and Kenya projects, who wish to help manage and further develop an international development project - and perhaps travel on a shorter project visit or a longer stay as a youth leader in our partner country.

As a volunteer in IMCC Global, you become part of an interdisciplinary group consisting of committed students who are continuously developed through education, sparring and dialogue.

Ethiopia project
We are currently working on a partnership project in collaboration with the Association of Medical Students in Ethiopia, EMSA. The aim of the project in Ethiopia is to educate students in primary school in reproductive health and create better dialogue about equal rights between men and women in sexual relations. This is done by building capacity and training young medical students to hold workshops and act as role models for school students. The goal is to combine knowledge about reproductive health and communication tools in order to improve the reproductive health of the school students who are part of the project. The project has been developed in close collaboration with local medical students and focuses on a strong partnership as well as innovative and participant-oriented methods.

Kenya project
The purpose of the Kenya project is to inform and improve reproductive health among teenagers in Kenya. We are in the final stages of a partnership project, which has been developed and conducted in strong collaboration with our local partner MSAKE, which is an association of medical students in Kenya. MSAKE trains teachers in Kenya who facilitate workshops focusing on reproductive health among students in several different local areas in Kenya. The ultimate goal of the project is to have sex education as a permanent part of the school timetable in Kenya.

Cross-cutting committees
In addition to the above projects, we at IMCC Global have a number of committees consisting of the volunteer members. These committees handle tasks across the two project groups and include:

The steering group, as the coordinating committee for IMCC Global, which in particular handles the facilitation of IMCC Global's internal events as well as the communication with the IMCC secretariat

The finance group, stands to lay and present the annual budget, keep ongoing bookkeeping and financial management.
