AURA is LGBT + Denmark's offer for children and young people who break with norms for gender and sexual orientation
AURA stands for Recognition, Youth, Respect and Acceptance , and is an alcohol-free offer for young people who break with norms for gender identities and sexual orientation, in a framework of social activities. It is a free space where children and young people can come and hang out with others who have the same, or similar, LGBT + identity.
The core task of AURA is to establish physical meeting places every 14 days, which must be a free space. With us at AURA, children and young people are free to express and develop their identity and form community through activities that they themselves have an influence on. It can be, for example, board games, cinema trips, picnics in parks, or something completely different.
