Welcome to Digital Friends - find a new friend you can talk to over the phone!
Become a volunteer in Digital Friends and start a conversation with your new friend with arthritis.
As a volunteer in Digital Friends, you must be a member of the Danish Rheumatism Association. In return, you can help make a big difference for someone else with arthritis. You will also have the opportunity to become part of a network with other volunteers, and you can participate in our start-up workshop, where you will hear more about Digital Friends.
Maybe you miss someone to talk to regularly now that COVID-19 is limiting our opportunities to be together. Maybe you want to share both experiences and thoughts with another rheumatologist. Maybe you are young with arthritis and want to talk about it with someone who is in the same situation as you.

About the Volunteer Job
The Arthritis Association matches you according to age, interests or diagnosis - depending on what each of you want and emphasize. Once a match has been found, you will both receive an email. It is your role as a volunteer to make the first call to your new friend within the first few days.
We suggest that you start by talking once a week and that you agree on talking 6-8 times for a maximum of one hour in the begining. You can always extend the agreement and increase or decrease the frequency.
If you have questions or want to know more, you can read about the project on the Danish Rheumatism Association's website.
