If you are passionate about fashion, specially secondhand fashion, working with volunteers, taking responsibility, making decisions, and taking part in the practical tasks that can be in a secondhand store, then you are the person that we are looking for.

You will not be alone about the store management. But you will be part of a voluntary store management team consisting of minimum two store managers, where you share the responsibility.

Tasks that you as a store manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning of volunteer shifts, staff meetings and volunteer care.
  • Interview with potential volunteers.
  • Coordinate training of new volunteers.
  • Team building that strengthens the community among the volunteers.
  • Communication with volunteers and feedback to volunteers that contribute to positive engagement.
  • Overview of clothes sorting and emptying of clothing containers in collaboration with the store's sorting team.

Tasks that the other store manager is responsible for:

  • Communication with Red Cross and Red Cross Youth.
  • Voluntary contracts and lists for Red Cross and Red Cross Youth.
  • External communication and external project collaboration.
  • Project management of sales initiatives, campaigns, and events.
  • Budget and accounts.
  • Practical small tasks such as inventory, organizing the store, washing used towels, cloths, and the like.

Since the store opened in 2018, Krydsfelt has become a well-known "goldmine" among its customers and has a core of experienced and responsible volunteers with a flair for fashion and secondhand.

We expect that you are interested in fashion, are motivating, patient, social, have a flair for communication and can speak and write English as 1/3 of the volunteers are speaking English.

The volunteers in the store are primarily between 20 and 35 years old and typically students.

You should expect to spend approx. 4-8 hours per week in the store or on related store manager tasks. You will of course get a thorough introduction to the tasks and Krydsfelt’s everyday life, as well as get the help and support you need from both Red Cross Youth and the board of Red Cross and office.
