The Sunday club at Jelling Asylcenter gives the children at the center a respite in their busy everyday life. Here they are allowed to be children, play and have fun with their friends and volunteers, and have some good experiences!

As a project manager for the club at Jelling Asylcenter, you lead and coordinate, together with another project manager, a team consisting of young volunteers who regularly go out to the center every other Sunday and do activities with the children who live at the center. It can e.g. be face painting, football tournament, bonfire or exciting excursions - only the imagination sets limits!

(RBU pays for transport and activities in connection with the club)

As a project manager, you must:

  • Make shift plans and activity plans (in collaboration with the group's volunteers)
  • Hold monthly volunteer meetings
  • Receive new volunteers v. A short introductory meeting with the volunteer
  • Inform the center about the club's activities
  • Ensure that the club's budget is adhered to
  • Ensure that all relevant information flows between Save the Children's Secretariat and the volunteers in the project

You will share all tasks and responsibilities with your co-project manager.

It is expected that:

  • You can attend 3 hours every other Sunday, as well as in the monthly volunteer meeting.
  • You can be part of the project in min. 6 months.
  • You will support, coordinate and motivate the volunteer group in collaboration with your co-project manager.
  • You are between 18-30 years old (since RBU is a youth organization).
  • Submits a child certificate to us, and registers with RBU (costs DKK 150 per year and goes to the operation of our projects for vulnerable children).
