KRYDSFELT is a youthful fashionable secondhand clothing store in the heart of Aarhus, established through a unique collaboration between Red Cross Aarhus and Red Cross Youth Aarhus. KRYDSFELT sells secondhand clothes, accessories and shoes to the young, fashion and environmental conscious target group. Our main purpose is to generate an economical profit for local social work in Red Cross Youth Aarhus and Red Cross Aarhus for the benefit of vulnerable children, youngsters, and adults. Our secondary purpose is to promote sustainability, where we inspire to a sustainable, unique and exciting wardrobe regardless of social background and budget.
Be part of a unique community
KRYDSFELT opened June 1, 2018, and has an international, energetic and unique vibe through the young volunteers who run the store.
As a volunteer store employee in KRYDSFELT, your most important task is to make our customers feel welcome and make them want to come again in our store on Nørre Allé. For this reason, we emphasize that you are smiling, outgoing and have a warm heart.
We expect that you have at least 4 hours to spare twice a month to take a 4-hour shift during our store’s opening hours, preferably a split between a 4-hour shift in the store every second week. The store's opening hours are Monday to Friday at 14:00-18:00 and Saturday to Sunday at 12:00-16:00. You will always be at least 2 volunteers in the store on an opening shift, and you will of course be trained in our simple cash register system and the organisation of the store by an experienced volunteer colleague.
We hope that you can engage yourself in the store for at least 5 months as our store depends on the volunteers to be open. We believe that a good community best supports our motivation. For this reason, we would like you to take a responsible part in our community and engage in our social events for the volunteers.
Do you have extra time to spare?
If you have extra time and energy and the courage to challenge your skills, you can also become part of our various teams in KRYDSFELT:
- The donation team, who collects donation to the store.
- The sorting team, who carefully sorts the donated goods to the store to be of sellable quality and current fashionable trends.
- The event team, who plans and executes in-store and external events that combine fashion and secondhand.
- The SoMe team, who creates online campaigns and promotes the store on Facebook and Instagram.
The small differences that count
Your efforts in KRYDSFELT make a difference. Besides being part of a young international volunteer team in KRYDSFELT, you also become part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation. You get a unique opportunity to make a difference for others in your local community and the environment.
Does the above sound like something for you or do you have questions? So do not hesitate to get in touch.
We are looking forward to hear from you!
We are on summer holiday until the beginning of August. Therefore, you can expect a longer response time. Thank you for your patience.
Have a great summer.
