What is the CHILDREN'S STORE?

Save the Children's first store opened in the autumn of 2002, and today we have 16 stores throughout the country. All our stores have a sustainable concept and sell used quality clothes, toys and equipment for children aged 0-12 years.

Our store is located at Holmbladsgade 99, 2300 Copenhagen and the store's opening hours are as follows from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 16:00 and Saturday from kl. 10:00 to 14:00. As a volunteer with us, you will be part of the daily work in the store, of course based on your preferences.

Your tasks as a volunteer will often consist of:

  • To make customers feel welcome in the store
  • Serving clients
  • Sorting and preparing sales items
  • Pricing of goods
  • To make sure the store is neat and clean when you are on duty.

What can we offer you?

As a volunteer in Save the Children's second-hand shop, we can offer you:

  • To be part of a cozy community
  • To learn new competencies within e.g. sales training and finance through our competency catalog
  • To help make a difference for children in vulnerable positions

What does the money go to?

Save the Children is the world's largest independent organization for children, and we are a total of 29 member organizations around the world that fight for children's rights to be respected. And the profits from our store go to save, protect and strengthen the most disadvantaged children locally, nationally and internationally.

25% of the profits from our store go to Save the Children's local association and the remaining profits go to the national work.

Through our and YOUR voluntary efforts in the second-hand shop, we help to make it all possible and we are passionate both for the children's cause and for having a good time together.

If you want to join the team or hear more, do not hesitate to contact us through the "contact organization" further up the page, or look past the store.

We are looking forward to hear from you!
