Living in Denmark? Would you like to volunteer at this lovely second hand shop

We are looking for volunteers for this new Kirkens Korshær second hand shop for shifts one day each week and for at least a 12 month stay.

If you already live in Denmark and wish to volunteer, then we would love to welcome you.

Minimum age for you: 20 years. No maximum age :-) There will be many other young volunteers so its a good chance of getting to know others, if you are new in town, or new in Denmark. 

We wish for longterm commitment, meaning that if you know, that you can only help out at the shop for 2-3 month or so, then we are sorry, but it is too short a period, as it takes time to get to know things and other volunteers etc. So minimum 10-12 months :-) and one shift a week.

The shop will sell clothes, accessories, shoes and such. 

We imagine that you:

• Wish to help us approx. 3 or 4 hours every week.
• Are ready for small practical tasks such as sorting clothes, hanging up clothes, serving customers, brewing tea / coffee and such.
• Will help to create a nice and welcoming atmosphere. 
• Like to work together with others.
• Perhaps you wish to dress up the window mannequins or hang clothes according to a colour theme?

 We can offer you:

• Cozy time with the other volunteers.
• Good opportunity to come up with your own ideas.
• Volunteer meeting with volunteers and staff.
• Excursions to other social gatherings, hostels etc.
• A large network.
• A voluntary job where you make it possible for shelters to help the poorest, as the income from the shop will go directly to social work.
• We kindly request, that volunteers dont smoke during the shift.
