Danish ICYE is an exchange and youth organization under DUF (Danish Youth Council), which works to reduce cultural barriers and thus help create more peace in the world across national borders - which is really relevant right now! At Lokalforening Nordjylland, we contribute to this by arranging cultural activities for people from all over the world in Denmark - and we need you, your curiosity, your ideas and commitment!

As a volunteer in the local association North Jutland, you get the opportunity to be part of a cross-cultural community, where you and other volunteers get involved in creating both small and large (cultural) experiences for volunteers in the association and young volunteers who are in Denmark on one of the Danish ICYE's exchange programs.

This means lots of cozy and cultural events that bring people closer together here in North Jutland. At the same time, you become part of a larger community at national level - and not least of an international federation and an international community that provides opportunities for participation in international workshops, trainings, projects etc.

We are looking for you who want to:

  • Establish a budget for this year's activities
  • Approve accounts for the year
  • Ensure that volunteers send reimbursement forms to the finance manager in the secretariat
  • Keep track of budget and accounts
  • Prepare financial report before general meeting
  • Review and sign accounts before the general meeting.
  • Participate in board meetings and activities in the local association
  • Contribute an average of 2-4 hours per. week

We offer you:

  • A lot of fun experiences and the opportunity to get to know young people from all over the world
  • Opportunity for participation in events at national level, i.a. camps, summer house trips and courses
  • Opportunity for participation in trainings abroad: https://www.icye.dk/category/training-course/
  • Great influence and room for initiatives
  • An international community that seeks to promote the meeting and create understanding across cultures
  • Experience with association finance, budgeting and accounting

A large part of the financial management is located at the secretariat in Aarhus, the treasurer's primary responsibility is therefore to keep an overview of the local association North Jutland's finances. As treasurer, you are part of the board, which is responsible for planning, holding and developing the local association's activities and you collaborate with the secretariat's accountant.

Who are you?

  • You are responsible
  • You do not need to have experience as a cashier. The most important thing is that you want to be part of the local association's community.

Who are we?

The Danish ICYE (International Cultural Youth Exchange) is a non-profit exchange organization primarily for young people between 16-30 years. We send both Danish young people out into the world for exchange and volunteer work and receive foreign volunteers to Denmark. The idea is that young people from all over the world should have the opportunity to travel and meet new cultures.

Does that sound like something for you or do you have any questions for us?

Contact us via the form 'contact organization'

You can read more about the association here: https://www.icye.dk/bliv-aktiv/

We look forward to hearing from you!

The best greetings
