If you are homeless and are discharged from the hospital, then you will be discharged to the street. That is why the Red Cross' care center Eirsgaard offers a two-week stay with the necessary care, nursing and social work support.
We need volunteers as a supplement to our employees in their daily work. That is why our volunteers are really important to us, as they make sure that there are people in the house who can take care of the residents while they are there.
A volunteer shift at Eirsgaard can look very different from shift to shift, depending on which residents are in the house and what they need. The most important thing is that you are ready to offor a little bit of yourself and look at the house on the given day, and see what it needs. Sense what is happening in the house, what makes sense to do and where something is needed.
We need volunteers in the house on afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
We don't have minimum of shifts you need to take every month, but we would love if you would take a shift twice a month.
