  In recent years, the Red Cross has experienced that more and more families with children in a socially disadvantaged life situation need our help, and therefore offers pregnant and new parent families with small children support to take on the role of parent. The main activity is 1: 1 support in the home, where a voluntary parental support is especially one to have fun / talk and share experiences with, talk about baby, do things and build a bridge to the local community with.

Babycamp

Families in Good start in life are invited to Babycamp. The purpose is for the families to have the opportunity to gain knowledge, inspiration to handle the new everyday life as a family and introduction to first aid as well as fun with other families. Together with the volunteer team, you create:

  • A safe, calm and cozy atmosphere
  • Gives families an experience of success in their own role
  • Meet families with respect, care and open-mindedness

The baby camp takes place from Thursday 13 October (afternoon) to Sunday 16 October (noon) at Danhostel in Tisvilde. There is room for 10 families at the camp - they have their own room and bathroom.

Together with the volunteer team, your tasks include:

  • Attend 2-3 planning meetings before the camp, during the camp and evaluation meeting
  • Make sure the families feel comfortable
  • Be a 3-hand for those who need it by supporting their participation in activities and meals
  • Helping families with practical things
  • contribute with professional knowledge

  We expect you

  • Can and wants to participate in the whole camp - in own room, food and transport paid for
  • Want to get to know the families and see practical work as care
  • Is over 30 years old
  • Has private or professional experience with children / families - preferably vulnerable families
  • Can see yourself as part of and contribute to the volunteer team
