Become a volunteer in Save the Children Mariagerfjord's family experience club

Right now we are looking for new volunteers for our family experience club in Mariagerfjord municipality. The family experience clubs are our largest voluntary social effort in Denmark, where parents and children aged 5-12 can make new friends and positive experiences. As a volunteer, you are part of a dedicated team of volunteers who together make a difference for local children and families.

We expect you to:

• Is responsible, empathetic and inclusive
• Want to make a difference for children and families in vulnerable positions
• Will actively participate in planning and conducting tours and events
• Can support a safe, fun and inclusive community
• Will participate in at least 50% of the activities - ie at least 5 times a year, plus planning meetings in the volunteer team

In the family experience clubs, the club's participants and the volunteers meet once a month for joint experiences in the local area. The club is a safe and inclusive community, which forms the framework for, for example, picnics, fishing trips, creative activities and the celebration of holidays such as Shrove Tuesday and Easter. The activities are held approx. 8-11 times a year, typically a Saturday or Sunday and lasts approx. 3-4 hours.
