Are you a student on a social studies or other relevant education and do you dream of working with rights-based development and/or humanitarian assistance? And do you have a particular passion for the rights and protection of children in Africa, Asia or Latin America?
Now you have the opportunity to become a volunteer in Viva Denmark's newly established program team, and try your hand at some of the facets of the program work in a less dynamic NGO with an office in Aarhus C.
In the autumn of 2022, Viva Danmark will set up a voluntary program team which will, among other things, must contribute with analysis work, development of project applications for Danida/EU and other donors, as well as preparation of reporting for donors and thematic studies.
As part of the program team, you as a researcher or proposal writer will be trained for the job via a short introductory course, after which you will be allowed to tackle specific tasks under the motto learning-by-doing. As part of the program team, you will be linked to specific and time-limited ad-hoc tasks. The tasks will often be in connection with application rounds for new project applications.

Viva Denmark is an international church-based children's organization which strengthens and coordinates efforts for vulnerable children and young people in some of the world's poorest areas.
Viva works with local networks, consisting of churches, church organizations and civil society organizations in Zimbabwe, the Philippines, Honduras and Nicaragua. We receive support from the EU, Danida and via private collections. Read more here.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for researchers and proposal writers who dream of making a difference for vulnerable children and young people and who are ambitious in terms of gaining technical experience with program work. It is particularly important that you are analytically strong and have a sharp pen (English) as many assignments have written products. Relevant tasks are offered ad-hoc to the program team, after which the individual volunteers can join tasks individually or together. As part of the program team, you are expected to contribute to at least one assignment per six months. Tasks will often be in connection with external deadlines and tasks will occasionally be offered at short notice and with intensive processes, especially in connection with applications for disaster response. We expect the team to consist of 3-5 volunteers.
