Right now we are looking for new volunteers for our family experience club in Silkeborg. The family experience clubs are our largest voluntary social effort in Denmark, where parents and children aged 0-18 can make new friends and have positive experiences. As a volunteer, you are part of a dedicated team of volunteers who together make a difference for local children and families.

  We expect you to:

  • Is responsible, empathetic and spacious
  • Wants to make a difference for children and families in vulnerable positions
  • Will participate actively in planning and execution of trips and events
  • Can support a safe, fun and inclusive community
  • Will participate in at least 50% of the activities - i.e. at least 5 times a year, plus one planning meeting annually in the volunteer team. Of this, together with at least one volunteer colleague, you will be responsible for planning approx. 2 of the 5 trips.

In the family experience club, the club's participants and the volunteers meet approx. once a month for shared experiences in the local area. The club is a safe and inclusive community where we facilitate experiences for the children and their parents, so that the children also have something to talk about at school. We form the framework for, for example, forest trips, fishing trips, creative activities and celebrations of holidays such as Halloween. We plan the activities once a year, and they are held approx. 10 times a year, typically on a Saturday or Sunday and lasts 4-8 hours, depending on how far we have to go.
