An active leisure life creates well-being, joy and social, lasting communities. Unfortunately, participation in extracurricular activities is not an option for all children. Children in vulnerable positions often fall behind in social communities, and we want to do something about that.

Plads til Alle is Save the Children's initiative, which works actively to ensure equal opportunities and access to association life for all children. But we cannot do it alone. Therefore, we are currently looking for two volunteer activity leaders who will coordinate the efforts locally in Odense.

AS AN ACTIVITY MANAGER, YOUR MOST IMPORTANT TASKS ARE

  • to be a link between the project's companions and Save the Children's secretariat
  • to recruit, retain and lead a team of committed volunteers
  • to be a support for the volunteers so that they can create the best environment for the children
  • to be positive and helpful in your approach to others

YOU WILL GET RETURN FROM US

  • A place in a positive community of volunteers
  • A network in the world's largest children's rights organization that is passionate about making a difference
  • Ongoing competence development
  • Opportunity to become part of the project's future development

The work takes approx. 4 hours per week, but consists of varying periods of activity.

We expect you to be able to take on the volunteer job for at least one year to ensure a stable base for the children and their companions.

We will probably dress you well for the task, and you will be regularly offered sparring and courses that will ensure your qualifications.
