WHAT IS PLACE FOR EVERYONE?

Plads til Alle is Save the Children's effort, which works actively to give children a healthy community and a brighter future. We do this by helping children in vulnerable positions start a leisure activity. In collaboration with Odense Municipality, we form the basis to get children and parents to get involved in association life, so that the community becomes a natural part of the child's life.

AS A CONSEQUENCE, YOU MUST:

  • Support the child and the parents in choosing and signing up for a leisure activity
  • Accompany the child to and from their chosen leisure activity
  • Enter into dialogue with the child's parents about logistics and leisure activities
  • Help the child into the community with the other children
  • Support the child in becoming self-reliant to participate independently in leisure activities

AS A CONSEQUENCE, IT IS THEREFORE YOUR MOST EXCELLENT ASSIGNMENT

  • to be a role model
  • to be listening and attentive
  • to make a positive difference for a vulnerable family
  • to create a space with room for development

As a companion, you help both the child and his parents with an easier everyday life. You help the child to create social communities that increase well-being and the desire for a healthier everyday life. Your commitment must ensure that the child sticks to his leisure activity and creates lasting relationships with other children, and this must rub off on the parents, so that the support also comes from home.

Each course typically lasts 3-5 months, after which there is a period of less activity. You will therefore have ample opportunity to take care of the rest of your life alongside the fact that you make a world of difference to a vulnerable child.
