What is GAME Girl Zone?
At GAME Girl Zone, you become a volunteer role model and leader of activities targeted especially at girls who are not used to playing sports. In the different activity corridors you try out many different sports, games and movement activities :-) Here there is room to have fun, form close friendships and achieve positive body awareness in a safe environment.
The goal is to create good relationships with the girls and to promote self-confidence, joy and courage to the girls when it comes to sports and sports communities!
You decide the content of the trainings, which change from time to time, together with your fellow volunteer(s) and the girls in the training.
WHAT IS GAME?
GAME is a non-profit organization that works to create social change and make a difference in children and young people. This happens through street sports and street culture in residential areas and in GAME's street sports centers in Copenhagen, Viborg, Esbjerg and Aalborg. All activities are runed by young volunteer Playmakers.
A Playmaker is a volunteer in GAME. As a Playmaker, you help organize and facilitate your training/activities. You come through a Playmaker training course, which consists of 4 weekend camps spread over two years. At each camp, you learn to teach children in your particular sport. You will receive a Playmaker certificate when you have completed the training after 2 years. As a Playmaker, it is expected that you can allocate approx. 3 hours a week. You must be mine. 16 years to be a volunteer :-)
