Relay For Life – a day against cancer
Relay For Life is 18 -24 hours with the team relay, activities, entertainment and information that gives hope and support to everyone affected by cancer. The aim is to stand together in the fight against cancer and to collect funds for the Norwegian Cancer Society's work with research, prevention and patient support. Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising activity in the fight against cancer. The activity is growing year by year in Denmark, and we need more volunteers who will locally take on the task of planning content and physical settings together. A group of volunteers is planning the 12th Relay for Life Bjerringbro on 17-18 June 2023 at the Bjerringbro Culture and Sports Centre.
Will you be with?
Tasks in the PR group:
In collaboration with the steering group and possibly other members, you help produce all PR in connection with the relay.
Tasks in the PR group include to:
- Doing PR in local media (radio, TV, newspapers, magazines and our local Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/StafetForLivetBjerringbro ) - especially with a view to getting teams, Fighters, drawing attention to "Light a Light" and the the arrangement
- Edit our local part of the website www.stafetforlivet.dk
- Cover the event - take pictures and do interviews and reports on the day
- Ensure that posters are put up
- Participate in a few group meetings with someone from the steering group and the other members (to get dressed for the task, as well as preliminary planning of which PR materials are to be produced)
