Online language help is an activity where refugees who are in the process of learning the Danish language can be matched with a volunteer language coach. As a volunteer, you do not need to be an adviser, teacher or expert, the most important thing is that you want to help refugees practice Danish, pronounce the words or help with exam preparation.

It is a flexible activity, and you can therefore agree when and how often you want to "meet" online and speak Danish. You sit separately but talk together online. The DRC Danish Refugee Council consultant matches you and puts you in contact with each other. Typically you talk together for 30-60 minutes. Some users need a longer course, while others just need to practice a few times before the exam - you agree on this together.

About you:

  • you can set aside approx. 30 min - 1 hour per week
  • you speak Danish
  • you don't need any experience to be a language trainer, just that you want to help

You get:

  • opportunity to make a difference for refugees and be part of their learning and personal development
  • experience in communicating Danish and helping with the language
  • the opportunity to develop a friendship
  • experience for your CV
