Volunteers for sports efforts around special need children in Copenhagen

Our effort involves different schools why we need your help in and around Copenhagen.

We need volunteers throughout the spring 2023. We need volunteers for following tasks:

Companion

Here you help a child to and from afternoon or weekend sports via car, bicycle, or public transport once a week. Initially, it is for a 4-week period with the possibility of extension.

Sports support on teams

As a sports supporter, you participate in sports with the children and support, motivate and help the children as needed. Initially, it is for a 4-week period, with the possibility of extension.

Sports support 1:1

As a 1:1 sports support, you participate in the sport with a child and support him/her throughout the training. Initially, it is for a 4-week period, with the possibility of extension.

 What we expect from you:

• Are reliable
• Clear in your communication
• Are patient
• Wants to help children and young people with special needs and disabilities
• Are open and willing to learn

Time and date are adjusted according to what you have opportunity to volunteer in.

You receive voluntary remuneration / expense reimbursement for your efforts, but no salary.

Specialsport.dk is a non-profit organization that helps children and young people with special needs and disabilities to have an active leisure life, as nationally only 10% of special school children are active in sports associations.
