We are constantly looking for volunteers for our social community, whether it is event and project work or creating content for our newsletter or SoMe. In the Central America Committee, there is room for anyone to offer new ideas. We already have various activities you can get involved in, but you are also more than welcome to start a new project if there is something you are passionate about.
We are looking for volunteers with skills and interests in:
- Communication and dissemination within SoMe promotion or graphic campaign design
- Coordination and planning of events
- Knowledge of Latin American language, culture and society
- People who are passionate about carrying out the low-practical work that is essential for our events (setting up chairs and tables in an inviting way, cooking and snacks)
- Creative idea development of new events
Who is MAK?
The Central American Committee (MAK) is a solidarity organization that has worked since 1980 to strengthen the social and political conditions for the poor majority in Central America. MAK actively supports the struggle for self-determination and social justice and prioritizes direct cooperation with the popular organizations in Central America.
The Central America Committee has three main activities:
- Dispatch of work and solidarity brigades to Guatemala and Nicaragua
- Project work in Central America
- Education and information work in Denmark
