Travel with Central America Committee - Come along and do solidarity work in Costa Rica!
The solidarity trips are a different form of travel, where you help shape the program yourself. – all the way out there, where Lonely Planet doesn't cover. The trip is planned during the universities' summer holidays and prior knowledge of Spanish is required in order to participate*. We differ from other travel offers by giving you and the group influence in creating your own trip!
The name of the feminist women's rights organization that we will be working with this year is Volcánicas. They fight for the rights of Nicaraguan migrants and facilitate workshops, information work, art actions etc. This summer you can meet the cool women and actively support them in their struggle.
The registration deadline and the deadline for paying the deposit is 1 April , but the earlier you register, the more influence you have on the trip and the program, as we are already fully planning. So hurry up and write to us - you are also more than welcome to ask questions or participate in our information meetings which you will find on Facebook.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
*It is a requirement that you have a basic knowledge of Spanish to join, as we believe this provides a better foundation for the experience and a more equal meeting with our partners and the local population.
