Board member

We are looking for:

A person with experience in managing volunteers, preferably with experience in organizational development, and is ready to take responsibility.

The board meets approx. every 2 months and has the overall management responsibility, as well as the highest decision-making mandate. Right now, an active board is needed to create stability in the current changes required by scaling up.

This could look like hiring, holding events, being cultural creators, holding workshops, making guidelines and policies for the volunteers and media coverage, social events, complaints procedure according to the statutes. Connect with other organizations. Organizational development.

In addition, you will also be part of shaping the role based on your interest in the field.

Who are we?

Our Asylum Children is an NGO which aims to promote better conditions for refugee children while they are staying in Denmark. Our Asylum Children has existed since 2014, but became an established association in 2016. The association has three areas of action which together contribute to promoting the association's purpose.

Communication:

• Reports on the living conditions and fates of asylum children on platforms.

• Cross-organisational efforts to improve the rights and conditions of asylum children in Denmark

Legal advice:

• Advice in relation to asylum and residence cases (process, progress and options)

• Support during the entire process (participating as co-chair, in the Refugee Board, etc.)

Contact persons:

• Support the child's well-being

• Act as a carer for the child during the process and if the child is deported
