The Danish House in Palestine (DHIP) facilitates voluntary work with our local partner organizations in Palestine. Currently, the organization Palestinian Circus School is looking for volunteer circus performers or teachers.
About the position:
Palestinian Circus School
Palestinian Circus School seeks to promote a free Palestine where Palestinians engage in a dynamic, cultural and artistic life that embraces creativity, freedom of expression and diversity as the cornerstones of a just and inclusive society. They believe that by teaching, creating and performing circus arts, the Palestinian Circus School can strengthen the creative and social potential of Palestinians and create local and international awareness of the positive Palestinian potential and its various challenges.
Since its beginning, Palestinian Circus School has worked with and welcomed many international circus artists, groups and schools. The school believes in the value of international and intercultural collaboration and discovery for many reasons. Since Palestinians are often still very isolated from the world due to the many movement restrictions, bringing people to Palestine enables Palestinians to meet and interact with new cultures. The school is also convinced that the mutual exchange of ideas and approaches enriches both parties and offers foreigners an opportunity to delve into the Palestinian culture and its own way of developing social and modern circus.
