Who are we?
SIND Aarhus is a local branch of SIND– the National Association for Mental Health.
We fight for better conditions for people with mental challenges and their next of kin.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people, who want to take part in creating a safe community in our game café.
As a host, we expect you to be
- empathetic and tolerant
- stable and responsible
- understanding of the life situation of mentally vulnerable people
What to do?
As a host in The Game Café you become part of the SIND Aarhus community. We start with a conversation of mutual expectations, where we together determine your role, areas of responsibility and the framework for how often you want to be involved.
The Game Café takes place once a month in Folkehuset Møllestien (Grønnegade 10, 8000 Aarhus C). Everyone is welcome, regardless of background and age, and you don't have to join every time.
As a host you must show up in good time before The Game Café starts to help prepare the room, set out snacks and drinks and welcome the guests. In addition to participating in The Game Café, you must also participate in joint meetings with the other hosts, typically once a month.
