What is a volunteer host?
In our counseling and psychologist services, users can come in from the street and gain access to legal assistance and therapy. There are volunteer lawyers, social workers and psychologists ready to provide a service to you vulnerable group with no other access to this help.

But before they meet, for example, the volunteer lawyer - they meet YOU!
You make sure to invite the citizens in, tell a little about the offer and Migranthus in general, you make sure that there is coffee and tea and to ensure that the citizen is well before and after their interview. So you are the one that creates a safe and pleasant space for the citizens who visit Migranthus.

More specifically, the tasks consist of:

  • Receive citizens, let them in via the door phone
  • Tell them about the scope of the offer
  • Small talk and ensure that citizens feel comfortable
  • Make tea and coffee
  • Clean up
  • Other practical ad hoc tasks

As a volunteer, you become part of a professional and social community with other volunteers. You get the opportunity to participate in courses and supervision, and we hold social events and events across the various volunteer groups and activities.

What do we expect of you?

  • That you can take a minimum of one shift per month and that you participate in the mandatory voluntary and
