We are seeking volunteers who might be interested in dropping by from time to time to fold freshly laundered clothes. This can be done standing or sitting, while enjoying the company of other volunteers or interns or even while listening to a podcast. Whether you're in the mood for a chat or prefer to engage in practical tasks while others bustle in the background, there's a place for you in our laundry.
Who are we?
We are a sustainable workplace, internship site, and collaborative project that assists socially disadvantaged individuals in reentering the job market through our laundry and sewing activities. We operate as a professional laundry service, catering to churches, shelters, and businesses, while also providing a laundromat facility for local residents. The proceeds from our operations support the Church's Cross's efforts with socially disadvantaged individuals, including the lonely, homeless, mentally ill, and substance abusers.
What can we offer?
With us, you'll contribute to helping society's most vulnerable in various ways. As an active participant in the laundry, you'll interact with individuals who come with diverse backgrounds, and your presence, conversations, smiles, and companionship can help create a meaningful daily life for them. Moreover, as mentioned above all profits generated from the laundry go toward supporting socially disadvantaged individuals
Beyond a meaningful mission, we can provide you with:
