The board consists of 5 members with good cooperation, where 2 members after many years of work on the board and as a volunteer in our recycling shop in Stenlille, want to retire, therefore we are looking for you who want to actively enter board work.
As a board member, you get a lot in return:
- A strong platform to create local change for the benefit of the weakest in the area
- A rewarding community locally in the department and in Denmark's largest humanitarian organization with 33,000 volunteers in Denmark - of which more than 1,000 board members
What do you do as a board member:
Together with the rest of the board, you are responsible for Red Cross Stenlille-Dianalund operation and development. As a board member, you can be responsible for an area of responsibility on the board that interests you, e.g. communication, voluntary environment, fundraising or minutes and documentation.
You can also become a contact person for one of our activities that you have an interest in and collaborate with the activity's day-to-day managers on development, budgets, management, etc.
Or you can start a new activity that you have a special interest in and get help and support both from the board and from the land office's consultants in the area.
The board meets approximately every 6-8 weeks for 2-3 hours, where we discuss and coordinate local engagement based on an agenda to which we all have the opportunity to contribute.
How much time you can expect to spend between meetings will largely depend on you and will probably vary throughout the year. Most of the members spend between 1 and 6 hours a week on board work.
It is an advantage that you:
- Is open, spacious and good at collaborating with many different people
- Have tried your hand at management or project management and want to take responsibility
- Have an interest in recycling, sales or marketing
