In Save the Children, we need one more leader for our food club for children on the run in Aalborg.

What is the food club for Children on the Run in Aalborg:

Save the Children starts a Food Club in Aalborg for children who have been on the run and their families. Here the focus is on creating friendships locally between families and volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who want to spend time with other volunteers, where together through cooking and communal eating you must create a safe environment for families with children on the run - right now primarily with a Ukrainian background.

The food club is for families with children across age groups and generations and involves the whole family, as the activities focus on supporting the general well-being of the family by creating good shared memories and strengthening the bond between child and parent.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a new volunteer manager for our management team. You will be part of a leadership team with another volunteer leader.

As a leader and volunteer in the team, you participate in activities with the club in agreement with the other team leaders. In addition, as a manager, you participate in meetings with the other management team and business partners as well as other ongoing planning and development.

The management team is tasked to

  • Participate in interviews and selection of volunteers for the team
  • Lead the volunteer team and ensure good culture and planning as well as structure the team's work
  • Ensure well-being in the volunteer team
  • Promote the good community in the club, where the children thrive, develop and feel safe
  • Manage the club's finances and purchase equipment for the club
  • We are looking for a team leader with:
  • A heart for children and a desire to make a difference
  • Commitment and inclusiveness
  • Responsibility, overview and the desire to gain good management experience
  • Appetite for fun experiences, is happy to cook and express yourself in a kitchen.
  • However, it is not a requirement that you have management experience. If you are passionate about the profession and our activity, you are more than welcome to apply, through the contact form "Contact the Organisation" on this page.

We are looking forward to hear from you.
