What is it about?
We are a team of volunteers who meet every Monday and cook a healthy meal, which we serve to families with children and adults who want a cozy community and a free meal.
The actual dining takes place at 17-19, and we meet in the afternoon to prepare the food.

What food do we cook?
The food is environmentally friendly and inclusive: we recieve grocerie donations from the Food Bank, who collect surplus food from nearby stores, and the meals we prepare are always vegetarian, halal and free of charge. In this way, we ensure that everyone can participate. As a volunteer, of course you also eat with us 😊

What do you need to know?
You don't have to be a great cook - the most important thing is that you like to facilitate social communities, are reliable and responsibile, and that you are nice to your fellow people. You must be able to speak English or Danish, and other languages are always an advantage.

What do you get in return?
As a volunteer, you will have independent responsibility and lots of support from our employees. You are never alone with a task, and your ideas and input are always welcome.

As a volunteer in the Red Cross, you get access to courses and training, and you get lots of relevant experience on your CV.

You will be part of the world's largest humanitarian organization and a community of approx. 1,000 volunteers in Aarhus.

Does that sound like something for you?
Please contact us by pressing "Contact Organisation" and we will  invite you for a cup of coffee 😊
