Do you love to cook from scratch, do you like to learn from yourself and learn new things yourself, and do you want to help build a bridge between the generations? Then you are tailor-made to volunteer at grandma's food and modern dishes across generations. We need 1-2 volunteers for grandma's food and modern dishes at each of the locations where the team is set up.

Grandma's food and modern dishes are an offer for junior high school students and seniors who live in their own homes. In the team, the participants get the opportunity to meet across the generations in a safe and cozy setting, while we prepare classic dinner dishes such as; meatballs, buns in curry, roast pork with parsley sauce, dhal and tortillas. We use school kitchens around the municipality. We meet at 16.30-19.30, the day of the week you as a volunteer can have an influence on, as well as where in the municipality the offer is offered.

  • You will have the opportunity to help young people get started with cooking, and you may get to know new dishes.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in courses and workshops where you can develop yourself and your skills.
  • You become part of a volunteer community under Open Activities in Hedensted Municipality.
  • You can develop your own cooking and teaching skills, as well as contribute to the conversations, the community and challenge the participants on taste and consistency.

We are looking for you who are between 18 and 110 years old, who want to spend a few hours of your free time a week volunteering, and helping to create a good mood and a social community for your fellow citizens. You get a free framework, and a great opportunity to impress Grandma's food and modern dishes with your own ideas and thoughts. You must like working independently, but can always get help from the staff in the Youth School and the Communities.

In Hedensted Municipality, we greatly appreciate our volunteers. We do this, for example, by inviting people to Volunteer Friday, New Year's cure and morning events with various topics on the programme.

As a volunteer in the Communities, you become part of a larger community for the municipality's volunteers. Together, we work to ensure that all citizens become part of a meaningful community. We believe that everyone can make a difference and that everyone can be something for someone.

To apply for the volunteer job, please fill out the form below. Here it is important that you write a little about yourself in the text field 'Message'. It can, for example, about: Your background (education, job, other volunteering experience), your interests and your motivation for volunteering.

We are looking forward to hear from you.
