We want to help as many as possible, as much as possible. We must have enough hands for our work and communicate well and often about all the offers we have in Odense. So those who need our help can get it. The premise that we can help is that we are known and visible in our area.
We are a large department of over 700 volunteers who together run 4 thrift stores and 17 different activities – from first aid and wake service to family networks and integration services.
We are building a team to take our communication to new heights, and this is where you come into the picture. Because we need a manager, a so-called activity manager, of our future communications team. A manager who can coordinate, prioritize and strengthen our communication. You will be the binding link in our communications team and will have close cooperation with the head of the secretariat, the chairman and the board regarding our communications efforts. You will also be a link to our secretariat in Copenhagen, the National Office, from which you will get lots of help and support for your work, as well as a number of opportunities for competence development, advice and networking with other volunteer activity managers for communication.
You may have 4-5 hours a week for voluntary work – maybe a little more, maybe a little less. It is not decisive. The most important thing is that you have the desire and courage to volunteer, that you can see yourself in a leading role in the Red Cross, and that you are passionate about communication, volunteering and social work.
We would very much like you to:
You do not need to be trained in communication or journalism to be the leader of the communication team, but you must have an interest in social media, press work and similar communication work. The Red Cross national office helps you dress for the task to the extent that you need it.
This is what you get out of it:
We cannot offer you a salary - in return, we offer good experiences, a professional community and a strong feedback culture, so that you can develop as a communicator.
The Red Cross works to help the world's most vulnerable people - both abroad and in Denmark. We are always present and can step in where help is needed. This is the core vision of the Red Cross. In Denmark, the Red Cross has 201 branches throughout the country and 34,000 volunteers who work for Denmark's vulnerable. That is why there is always a Red Cross volunteer close to all Danes, and help is always just around the corner.
We look forward to meeting you 😊
