About the homework cafe
As a homework helper, you make a huge difference to children and young people who have academic challenges and need support. Our homework café is much more than just homework: it is a social space where the children and young people can get help in a relaxed and positive way with exactly what they are having difficulty with. It is also a place where there is room to be frustrated, take a break, enjoy yourself or tell robber stories - and you are also welcome to come, even if you have no homework to do.
The homework café is located in the Fritids- og Ungdomsklubben Byggeren at Nymarksvej 141 in Fredericia and is open every Thursday at 15:00-16:30.
What do you do as a volunteer in the homework café?
Your role as a volunteer homework helper in the homework café is, among other things, to:
- Help the children and young people who need help with their homework
- Be ready to create relationships across age groups
- Give the children and young people time and space for what they come up with
- Help create a cozy and safe environment in the homework café
