Our Asylum Children is a small but influential non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential services and support to asylum-seeking children and families navigating the complexities of the asylum process, family law and the Children's Act in the Danish municipalities. We believe that every child deserves a safe and caring environment and that every family deserves the opportunity to live their lives with dignity.
Our services include:
- Legal advice: Offers expert guidance on the interaction between family and asylum law and the Children's Act to ensure the best interests of the child in all matters. This includes navigating the processes, securing residence permits and finding opportunities in each individual case.
- Contact persons & family training: Provides emotional support to asylum-seeking children and their families with the aim of improving their well-being. This is achieved through the help of trained volunteers and psychologists who ensure that the specific needs of both the children and the family are met.
- Advocate for asylum-seeking children: Coordinates cross-organisational efforts to protect and promote the rights and living conditions of asylum-seeking children and their families in Denmark.
Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled volunteers to become part of our communications team. In this role, you will play a central role in helping us reach our diverse audiences and achieve our mission. You will contribute to various communication activities, including content creation, social media tasks and digital marketing.
Primary tasks
- Content creation: Develop engaging and informative content in Danish for our website, newsletters, social media platforms and other communication channels, adapted to specific target groups.
- Social Media Management: Help manage our social media presence by creating and scheduling posts, interacting with followers and monitoring analytics. Help us grow our online communities and engagement.
- Digital Marketing: Support digital marketing initiatives to increase our visibility and influence online. Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing campaigns and online advertising.
- Member and Fundraising Support: Help maintain and expand our member database. Contribute to fundraising efforts by creating compelling campaigns and supporting online donation campaigns.
Qualifications
- Language skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Danish. Ability to adapt communication styles to different target groups.
- Digital competence: Experience with social media platforms, content management systems and digital marketing tools. Privacy with SEO, e-commerce and online analytics.
- Passion & Engagement: A strong interest in our mission and willingness to contribute time and skills to make a difference.
- Team player: Ability to work with a diverse group of people, both physically and online.
- Bonus: Previous experience in communications, marketing or related fields, particularly in the nonprofit sector, is highly valued.
