Dialog på Tværs is an association that works to strengthen community and mutual understanding between people with ethnic majority and minority backgrounds in Denmark. We cannot be content to tolerate each other from a distance and live in parallel and separate realities. In Dialog på Tværs, we put ethnic majority and minority youth's differences, prejudices and similarities into play, so that they come into contact with each other, and thus actually learn about and from each other.
Dialog på Tværs works with dialogic integration as a methodological basis. The dialogue is about creating mutual and equal meetings and experiencing meeting as person to person - no matter how different we may perceive each other. You will get an introduction to our methodology.
Dialog på Tværs has been behind several different initiatives - including dialogue activities, forum theatre, dialogue cafes, debate events and workshops. Our primary focus right now is to develop, implement and gather experience from dialogue-creating activities as part of a research project called Communities across. Read more about it here.
