In Save the Children's family experience club in Nørresundby, the focus is on creating good experiences between volunteers, the children and their families. We are looking for volunteer activity leaders who want to spend time with other volunteers, where together through excursions you must create a safe environment for families with children.

The family experience club is for families with children across age groups and generations and involves the whole family, as the activities focus on supporting the general well-being of the family by creating good shared memories and strengthening the bond between child and parent.

It is the management team that, together with the volunteer group, plans the activities, trips and events that are held in the family experience club. It can be anything from a forest trip with food over a fire to more creative and cultural experiences. In total, 8-10 events are held per year, where per 3-4 hours are allocated each time and it will typically take place on a Saturday or Sunday.

As an activity manager, you must have the overall overview, be responsible for coordinating the activities, be a link to Save the Children's secretariat and local partners and ensure that the entire volunteer group thrives and lifts as a group.

What is expected of you as an activity manager?

- That you can set aside approx. 10 hours per month, including; planning meeting, preparation and participation in event.

- That you have the desire and energy to make a difference in working with vulnerable children.

- That you show commitment, inclusiveness and responsibility both towards the children and their parents, as well as in the volunteer group.

About you

You may have;

- Experience in creating activities for children and families.

- A creative brain that gets lots of ideas and sees opportunities rather than limitations.

- A child specialist background such as e.g. pedagogue or teacher - or be in the process of studying children's studies.

But completely different skills can also be relevant. The most important thing is that you want to lead a volunteer team and work with children and their families.
