We are looking for volunteers for our Clothing Project, which dresses the people on the streets well so that there is always clean and warm clothing available.
The clothing project consists of two units that work closely together: Tøjdepotet, which ensures users have neat, clean clothes tailored to the season, and the beautiful thift shop Mændenes Hjems Genbrugsbutik, which sells second-hand clothing.
Mændenes Hjems Genbrugsbutik is 100% non-profit, and the money generated in the store goes to run the clothing distribution. When you shop at Mændenes Hjems Genbrugsbutik, you help ensure that people living vulnerable lives on the streets can also get clothes and shoes.
MÆNDENES HJEMS GENBRUGSBUTIK
In our cozy thift shop Mændenes Hjems Genbrugsbutik we sell clothes that are not suitable for a hard life on the street. All types of people come here, who have one thing in common: they support the idea of recycling and are looking for a good deal among the many delicious things that the store has.
The thrift store is open Monday-Friday 1-5:30 PM and Saturday-Sunday 11-3:30 AM.
The tasks in the store include keeping the store neat and tidy, serving customers and replenishing, and creating a nice and cozy atmosphere. Many users of the social services stop by the store for a cup of coffee and a chat, so it is expected that you have an interest in socially disadvantaged people and are able to navigate the environment around Mændenes Hjem.
In addition, as a volunteer, you are very welcome to change the store's interior and display window, as well as initiate other activities: events in the store, participation in flea markets, posting on the store's Instagram or something completely different - only your imagination sets the limits!
