Koordinator

At the Volunteer Counseling Center, we are visited by people who need help understanding decisions and letters from the authorities, appealing decisions, filling out application forms and much more. Our volunteer counselors are lawyers, social workers and other professionals, all of whom work unpaid to help. We are now looking for a coordinator who will help ensure that the counseling runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your tasks as a coordinator: As a coordinator, you will help coordinate and organize the counseling during opening hours, and ensure a warm and welcoming environment for those seeking advice. You will work closely with a counseling consultant from DRC, and your tasks include:

  • Set up computers and technical equipment before the consultation begins.
  • Be present in the Volunteer Counseling Center 3-4 hours a week
  • Welcome those seeking advice and offer them coffee/tea.
  • Manage the queue and keep those seeking advice updated on the waiting time.
  • In collaboration with the DRC consultant, distribute cases and premises to the volunteer counselors.
  • Assist the volunteer advisors with technical problems, such as with printers and computers.
  • Ensure that counseling sessions are completed on time so that the next person seeking counseling can receive help.
  • Assist with closing and cleaning up after the consultation.

What is required of you? We are not necessarily looking for a specific professional background, but it is important that you:

  • Is reliable, patient and friendly.
  • Is used to handling multiple tasks at once and has good organizational skills.
  • Is comfortable working digitally.
  • Able to work independently, but also collaborate closely with volunteers and employees.
  • You are expected to be able to volunteer at least this year.

Where and when? The counseling takes place between 5-7 pm on Mondays, and the coordinator's tasks will be between approximately 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
