DanChurchAid is looking for volunteer drivers for the food waste stores Wefood with exits from Albertslund, Vejle, Aarhus or Aalborg

Do you want to join the driver team?

As a volunteer driver at Wefood, you help fight food waste by collecting surplus goods from our more than 75 partners. The goods are driven to Wefood's warehouse or directly to our stores in Copenhagen, Vejle, Aarhus or Aalborg. A shift typically starts around 8 am, but locally there may be other meeting times, so do not hesitate to contact us.

Become rich in experiences and make new friends

If you have always dreamed of driving a slightly larger van (regular driving license) than your private car, here is the opportunity. Together with a fellow volunteer, you will start by driving out and picking up surplus goods from Wefood's many partners. When all surplus goods have been picked up in the car, it is driven out to our stores where other good volunteers are ready to put the goods up for sale. We always provide thorough training so that you get all the skills to have a good trip.

We collect our goods from many different partners and although we have pallet jacks and a handcart on the vehicles, it is inevitable that some heavy lifting may occur. Therefore, a good physique is a good start as a volunteer on our vehicles. But you are always welcome to give us a call so we can tell you more about what to expect on a shift.

All our cars require a regular driver's license and the cars are always refrigerated and freezer-safe so we comply with all regulations for picking up goods with refrigeration requirements.

As a volunteer driver, you will also be part of a cozy environment, where there is room for a cup of coffee and a good chat. We look forward to welcoming you!
