We are currently looking for a co-leader for our food club in Aalborg. In the food club, refugee children meet with their parents for positive experiences and community. As our new club leader, you will collaborate and share leadership responsibilities with the current club leader.

We expect you to:

  • Will help lead the family experience club and motivate and lead the volunteers
  • Want to make a difference for refugee children and their families
  • Can ensure a fun, safe and inclusive volunteer community
  • Meets children and families at eye level and has an eye for involvement
  • Is ready to handle administrative tasks related to running the club
  • Participates in regular planning meetings approximately 4 times a year, a little more in the beginning
  • Are willing to volunteer for at least 1 year, but preferably longer

Your tasks:

  • Participation in planning meetings with the other club leader and the volunteer group
  • Attendance at club meetings at least 2/3 of the time
  • Purchasing and detailed planning of club meetings approximately every other time
  • Receiving registrations from families
  • If necessary, recruiting new volunteers (currently we have 8 volunteers, which is enough)

In the food club, the club's participants and volunteers meet on the first Sunday of each month for a shared cooking session at one of the city's local schools. The club is a safe and inclusive community that provides a framework for cooking, eating together and creative activities. The food club is held approximately 10 times a year, on the first Sunday of the month and lasts 3-5 hours.
