DO YOU WANT TO BE IN THE ENGINE ROOM WHEN WE DEVELOP AND SPREAD DAV'S POSITIONS?

There is a great demand for the knowledge, opinions and recommendations we bring from DAV. That is why we are looking for volunteers for our political committee who will contribute to the task of communicating DAV's opinions and putting our recommendations into practice - both in the media, among politicians at Christiansborg, in municipalities and among professionals.

If it might be interesting for you to:

• Participate in meetings with politicians at Christiansborg or in municipalities, the People's Assembly, etc.
• Provide sparring on DAV products (e.g. recommendations)
• Help qualify attitudes and communication - as a sparring group for the front office and secretariat
• Contribute to campaigns (both provide input and possibly help create them)
• Get ready for political work and advocacy
• Be part of a community where we are updated on current discussions in the field of placement and train our debate muscles

...then you are what we are looking for, and now is the time for you to apply to join us.

You do not need to have experience with political work. The most important thing is that you are interested in working for better conditions for current and former detainees with us in the Political Committee.

As part of the Political Committee, you will be involved in:

• 3 physical meetings/workshops at the secretariat in Copenhagen – together with the entire team – per year (here we gain new knowledge, external presentations, discuss important themes and act together).
• Basic training on September 20, 2025, where you will be introduced to DAV and our work.
• The annual educational weekend in the Political Committee – in 2025 it will be November 29th and 30th.
• To participate in briefing and completion of tasks (and possibly debriefing in connection with tasks).
• Sign up for specific tasks, e.g. providing input for campaigns, etc.

We expect that as part of the Political Committee you will be active and can prioritize participating in the above. You must also be an ordinary member of DAV. Press here

HOW TO SEARCH

If you are interested in participating, please send an email or a video briefly describing why you are interested and what themes you are particularly interested in when it comes to placement. Apply no later than August 7, 2025.

The secretariat will then call for interviews, expected in week 33 from (August 11-15), where we will discuss the task and the framework in more detail. We expect to put together a group of around 15 members including the existing members.

We are looking for volunteers from all over the country and the group is put together based on individual interviews and an assessment of commitment and experience, as well as the need for diversity in the group in terms of, for example, placement experiences, age and geography.
