Paradiset is a place where people who are in a vulnerable position in life – socially, economically, physically or mentally – can find security and shelter in a warm, inclusive community. With us, you can meet others in cozy surroundings, build networks, participate in meaningful activities, feel valued and get help to move forward in life.
Paradiset was established in 1991. Since 2016, the Church's Korshær has been responsible for the daily operations, which were previously handled by the municipality. We want to contribute to creating dignified conditions for our fellow human beings based on the organization's three core values: care, presence and respect. We have four employees and approx. 12 volunteers.
Paradiset is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, and there is always coffee on the pot. We have a breakfast buffet from 9 am and serve lunch, either hot food or open sandwiches, every day at 12 pm.

All our meals are free for our users, and we have a relatively small budget to buy for. We are therefore dependent on the many donations of date products we receive from local supermarkets and the Food Bank, and our kitchen assistants must therefore be able to show some creative thinking in relation to using the products received.
As a volunteer, you will be part of our team and collaborate with the employees, the other volunteers and to some extent our users, who often want to help with light kitchen work.
At Paradiset, we involve volunteers in solving our many tasks. We believe that all people grow by helping and contributing to creating value in the lives of others, and we want to create the best conditions so that everyone who participates as a volunteer can contribute and experience the joy of helping others. We meet our users positively and value diversity, because it creates a starting point for learning between people and the opportunity to meet people who you can look up to or be inspired by.
As a volunteer at Paradiset, you will have the opportunity to participate in courses, receive sparring from employees and participate in regular volunteer evenings with the other volunteers.
