Café umbrella is looking for a volunteer who would like to come and help twice a week in the kitchen of our non-alcohol social café.
The house is a large and active place where 90 volunteers run both the non-alcoholic coffee shop, sewing workshop, recycling and office, as well as other activities such as bingo, trips and lectures, and most importantly contact with our guests.
The house's cuisine is the 'heart' and therefore it is always nice to have fresh bread for breakfast meetings, as well as various cakes and other for sale for house guests. But also a cake for the volunteers who do their very best at creating a welcoming atmosphere.
We also prepare many desserts, so if you have a very special recipe - come on out.
We are open Monday to Friday. 10-16, Wednesdays until 19 pm. Saturdays and Sundays from 11-15. Volunteers come from about 8-9 am - and stay for about 4-6 hours.
The house routine involves closing down the house safely and this takes about ½ hr after closing.
You should at least be able to commit yourself for 4 hours pr week. And between 12 and 16.30
