Café Paraplyen is a (non-alcohol) social café, situated on Nyelandsvej 66, near Frederiksberg Hospital. A "TLC" = tender loving care house with lots of great volunteers.
This YMCA café offers a "hyggelig" community atmosphere with the opportunity to meet other people, buy "granny food" = old-fashioned food, desssert, cake and coffee etc.
We take care of the guests who frequent the café by offering a welcoming approach. Many of our guests live by themselves and that's why we offer a fellowship that promotes network and good company.
We organize events too - entertainment, music and talks of various kinds. The team of volunteers prepare food and ensure that there is a friendly atmosphere in the house. There are 4 employed staff who coordinate the volunteers, and we offer monthly volunteer meetings
