About Grønne Kræfter
Grønne Kræfter is a part of Settlementet and is a social economy urban gardening business. Our goal is to make Vesterbro more green and more sustainable, and to make it socially responsible by creating new spacious jobs for people who has been away from the jobmarket for several years.
About the assignment
As a volunteer in Grønne Kræfter, you become part of a team of committed volunteers and a strong community where the goal is to provide the best service for both customers and vulnerable citizens.
The tasks include of:
You must have knowledge of and interest in plants and how to grow green in the city so you can advise our customers. In addition, you must be interested in working in a modern and not quite ordinary store, which besides being a shop is also a spacious workplace for both volunteers and vulnerable citizens. Besides being part of the volunteer community in Grønne Kræfter, you also become part of the entire community in Saxogade, where our social economy stores help each other in everyday life.

About Settlement and Saxogade
Since 1911, the settlement has been working for socially disadvantaged people at Vesterbro, focusing on hand-held efforts in counseling and employment. We are privately owned and non profit, all profits go to efforts for socially vulnerable citizens. We have about 30 employees and 120 volunteers. As part of the work with socially disadvantaged, the settlement has developed social-economic stores in Saxogade for almost 30 years, and in the autumn of 2016 the settlement received 5.4 million. DKK from the Tuborg Foundation to develop Saxogade to become Copenhagen's new social trading street. In order to promote work around the social economy stores and create communities, the Settlement is now targeted in efforts around events, and as a volunteer you will also be part of this.
