At the Red Cross Odense we receive a lot of clothes every week that the people have donated to us in one of our 70 containers distributed throughout the city. Drivers pick up the clothes, which are subsequentlylected in our sorting station in Lind Hansens Vej 9.
Here volunteers are ready to go through the clothes. The clothes are sorted according to its condition. The best clothes are to be sold in one of our two stores. Revenue from this is primarily related to the department's other activities. The remainder (excluding waste) is sold as a surplus to business partners and also contributes significantly to the department's earnings.
It is an advantage, but not a requirement that you as a volunteer have knowledge of clothing brands and fashion.
As it is now, it is sorted primarily in the mornings, but we would like to have an afternoon / evening stand up so please bid when you have the opportunity to help.
Right now we are looking for volunteers for our sorting department in Lind Hansens Vej 9. If it's something for you and you can spend a few hours a week doing, please send us your application.
